 FINS Superbraid!!!???
« Thread Started on Dec 18, 2008, 1:29pm »

Guys,

Has anyone had the chance to run the Superbraid that FINS gave us at the last meeting?

I have it spooled and ready to go but was wondering if we could get some feedback on the free spools given out last month!

Keep us posted! The guys at FINS would love to hear some feedback about your experiences with their lines.

Terry and Carl have been using them for quite some time and have great things to say!

Thanks Terry for hooking the Club up with FINS lines!

A little late posting, but I've been using the "windtammer" ... it beats any braided line I've spooled up so far. Even if it gets a air-knot it (doesn't happen too often) it "un-knots itself for the most part. Good stuff!
I have noticed it tends to cut my leader. I've had numerous cut-offs at the knot (fortunately no fish on) at the leader. As of now though, I'm a "Fins" fan!

I use a double uni. I double the braid and went to five turns on each side of the knot. This helped alot.

I know it's been awhile ::)
I thought I had the cut off problem cured. I too , use a double uni, but when you say "double the braid", are you doubling the loop? I'm a little confused on what/ where the doubling is. If you don't mind me asking, what brand leader do you use?
Lost a sweet Red today due to a cut-off :'(
I really like the "wind-tammer", but I've got to get this figured out.
Thanks for any input...
