The FLA Lure division will be hold the last points tournament for the year fishing for the double slam on May 2nd out of the Sisters Creek Ramp. There are a huge amounts of points available and many moves up and dpwn the leader board can be made to get your team in or out of the top 20 TOY places. Being in the top 20 automatically qualifies you for the FLA Championship in July.
The "Dreaded Double Slam consists of 2 Trout at a minimum of 15" and you can weigh two over 20", two Flounder at least 12" long and two Redfish within the 18 - 27" slot limit. That's 12 release points and 10 double slam points for those with the double slam.
Safe light will be 6:22 am and odd numbered boats will go first. The staging area will be from the concrete bulkhead to the north and the bridge fenders to the south. Life jackets must be worn when the big motor is on and there will be no passing in the "no wake" zones. Each team must be back within the staging area by 3pm.
Courtesy measurements will end at 3:15 when the official weigh in begins. We will have quite a few fish to measure so it will take a little longer than normal.
